Soil/Groundwater Remediation - Cleanup Action

Gas station product lines replacement

Gas station product lines replacement

For sites requiring soil and/or groundwater remedial action/cleanup action, AEG uses the findings of remedial investigations to develop a conceptual site model of the site to present the site's subsurface conditions, the distribution of sorbed and dissolved phase contaminants in soil and groundwater, potential pathways, and potential receptors. The conceptual site model presents an evaluation of feasible remediation technology alternatives for the cleanup of impacted soil in the vadose zone and saturated zone and impacted groundwater at the site.

The selected remediation technologies for the cleanup action at a site will involve a staged approach to remedial action and may involve in-situ bioremediation comprising of chemical oxidation and aerobic biodegradation of petroleum hydrocarbons/halogenated solvents and/or installation of a combination of traditional soil vapor extraction (SVE) and groundwater (and/or free-phase product) recovery system designed to treat both impacted soil and groundwater or a remedial design tailored to the site's contaminants of concern.
